HI ALL,
I'D JUST LIKE TO SAY A BIG BIG THANKS TO BEAST FANS EVERYWHERE FOR NOT ISSUING ME WITH ANY DEATH THREATS FOR JOINING THEIR BELOVED BAND AND FOR EMBRACING ME LIKE ONE OF THEIR OWN.....OF SORTS......IM TOUCHED.....OR IS THAT TAPPED.....I NEVER COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

JUST FOR THE RECORD I CAN STATE HAND ON MY HEART/CROTCH....(SAME DIFFERENCE) I DO NOT INTEND TO CHANGE THE BEASTS IN ANY WAY MUSICALLY EXCEPT FOR NOT HAVING A BIG BLOKE AT THE FRONT SO YOU NEED WORRY NOT ABOUT THAT.
THEIR SOUND MUSICALLY TURNS ME ON AND GIVES ME THE VIDEO GAME KILL VIBE SO THATS OK BY ME.
OBVIOUSLY THE NEW LINE UP WILL SOUND A LITTLE DIFFERENT TO WHAT YOU HAVE BECOME USED TO.....BUT HEY YOU CANT HANG ME FOR THAT.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING BEASTS AND WRATH FANS ALIKE WHEN WE HIT THE ROAD AND FOR ANYONE WHO HAS FORGOTTEN WHAT I LOOK LIKE IM THE SKINNY HANDSOME BLOKE WITH THE RED HAIR AND BIG BOOTS.....THATS BOOTS WITH AN "S" NOT BOOBS WITH A "B"....I DUNNO THO'

LAST BUT NOT LEAST I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE MIRIADS OF PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT THEY LIKED MY VOICE SO MUCH THAT EVEN IF I HAD JOINED "RIGHT SAID FRED" THEY WOULD STILL COME TO  LISTEN TO ME.
YOU DIDNT MISS MY VOICE HALF AS MUCH AS I DID
NEARLY 8 YRS SINGING BLUES BROS TUNES CAN ALMOST MAKE YOU FORGET WHERE YOU TRUELY BELONG.
BUT BELIEVE THE WORST THE VOICE IS BACK,
LOUDER THAN EVER, THE MOTOR ON THE MOUTH IS UNFATIGUABLE AND GUARANTEED FOR LIFE.
THE ATTITUDE IS B.A.D AND THE ENERGY IS ENDLESS.....ENJOY.

LATER.....HELLS MINIONS
ROCKY

09/12/07
Due to other commitments Simon "Mongo" Hall and  Si "Fungus " Fielding have left The Handsome Beasts. The remaining members wish them well in their other ventures and good luck in the future.
Our new singer will be none other than Rocky Shades, former frontman of the notorious shock rock band Wrathchild.

Here is what Rocky has to say:

THE GREAT MIDLAND ROCK INSTITUTION THAT IS THE HEAVY ROCK BAND "THE HANDSOME BEASTS" HAVE JUST BECOME INSTITUTIONALIZED AS THEY HAVE JOINED FORCES WITH NONE OTHER THAN THE CRAZY MOTORMOUTH FRONTMAN EXTRORDINAIRE THAT IS ME ROCKY SHADES.

THIS WILL COME AS A SHOCK TO BOTH BEASTS AND WRATH FANS ALIKE AS BOTH OF THE PREVIOUS BEASTS VOCALISTS WERE A BIT ON THE NOT SO THIN SIDE......NO OFFENCE MEANT AND GOD BLESS YOU FLABBY.

I CAN STATE MOST CATEGORICALLY BY JOINING THIS BAND I HAVE NO INTENTION OF EATING ALL THE PIES, OR BECOMING A REGULAR VISITOR TO THE KEBAB SHOP SO WILL BRING A NEW DIMENSION TO AN ALREADY KILLER KICK ASS BAND.
ANYONE WHO IS NOW FUMING AT THE P.C. SCREEN CHILL OUT,
THE NEW BEASTS WILL BE THE ULTIMATE BEASTS AS I INTEND TO INHANCE NOT DESTROY THEIR ALREADY CAST IN STONE REPUTATION.
AL, MARK AND MICK ARE AS CRAZY AS I AM AND THAT SUITS US JUST FINE.
THEY LIKE THEIR ROCK HARD BUT NOT SERIOUS AND WHO THE F**K WOULD TAKE ME SERIOUS ANYWAY HA HA HA.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS BAND CHECK THEM OUT I TRIED THEM AND LIKED THEM SO MUCH I KEPT THEM.

ALL YOU R.S.W. FANS DO NOT DESPAIR AS INBETWEEN WORKING WITH THE "BEASTS" AND THE BIRMINGHAM BLUES BROTHERS I HAVE EVERY INTENTION OF FINISHNG WHAT I STARTED OR ANOTHER PUPPY GETTS FED TO THE TIGERS.
THAT DOESNT MEAN IM TAKING THIS DUTY LIGHTLY,
I WILL GIVE THE BEASTS 500% PLUS AS ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO CROSS PATHS WITH ME KNOW THAT I NEVER UNDER DELIVER ANYTHING.

ANYONE OUT THERE WHO WANTS TO BOOK THIS NEW VERSION OF PERVERSION CAN CONTACT US THROUGH THE HANDSOME BEASTS "MY SPACE" SITE AND NOT THROUGH ME AS IM THE NEW BOY IN THE CAMP AND HAVENT GOT PAST THE MAKING TEA AND CLOSING THE REHEARSAL ROOM GATE STAGE.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH AS SOON AS WE ARE GIG READY WE WILL HIT THE BOARDS SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELVES.

REHEARSALS ARE CURRENTLY GOING GREAT GUNS AND A NEW ALBUM IS DUE EARLY NEW YEAR......TITLE OF WHICH IS SUCH A CLOSELY GUARDED SECRET IF I WAS TO LET A LITTLE HINT SLIP I WOULD BE DEADMEAT NOT FRESH MEAT.

FOR FURTHER NEWS WATCH THIS SPACE
AND NOW GET READY FOR WAR ON THE METAL DANCEFLOOR.

ROCKY "WREKKLESS" SHADES

21/10/07 Review of "Rock In A Hard Place" from  novembers Classic Rock magazine

“We’re pragmatic, we know we’ll never be rock stars,” singer Simon ‘Mongo’ Hall told a highly responsive audience at the Rock And Blues Custom show earlier this summer. He’s probably correct, but there will always be a place for a band as unremittingly entertaining as the Handsome Beasts.

Many wrongly assumed the veteran Brits would fold when man-mountain frontman Garry ‘Flabby’ Dalloway died last year. Instead, Hall – possessed of equally formidable girth and charisma – seizes the mic for a fourth album of wide-tread, souped-up dragster-blues. Although it doesn’t quite match the group’s unmissable live show, there are at least half a dozen great, hook-laden ditties on this 11-song CD, including Heartbreaker, Animal, Headstrong and the surging, chest-beating title cut.

07/10/2006 We are proud to announce that Simon Hall is now the new vocalist with The Handsome Beasts.
Pictures of Simon can be found on our gallery.
Alongside fronting his own covers band BEHOLDER, Simon is also pleased to front the NWOBHM giants THE HANDSOME BEASTS.  The request to join the band was suggested by Gary himself prior to his death, but obviously not taken as a serious comment.  Yet since the recent death of his dear friend, Simon is honored to continue where Gary left off, alongside this Simon’s comments were..

“If I don’t take the job he’ll come back and f**kin’ haunt me !”

Having toured the UK and Europe on several occasions with previous bands, Simon has took on THE HANDSOME BEASTS mantle as one of the forerunners in delivering the complete rock and metal package.

Unapologetic, Uncompromising and Unrelenting in his approach to live music, the big guy has made many friends along the way due to his straight talking no nonsense attitude towards the current music scene. Having graced the stage with close friends such as PETE WAY (UFO), BLACKFOOT, BUDGIE, AMERICAN DOG and DAVE HLUEBECK (MOLLY HATCHET) he has bridged the gap between the old school rock and the harder metal scene, bringing a powerful performance laced with a melodic intensity second to none.

Alongside his antics on the stage, Simon is the founder creator of DS Promotions, who over the years have been responsible for bringing Stateside and European acts to the UK, along with developing breakthrough bands, although this task does take its toll as a recent interview would suggest…

“If these little berks would think more about song structure than trying to impress me with dodgy gothic make-up, the inability to pull their trousers up and lyrics about having a difficult paper round – then they might get more gigs !”

With his fingers on the pulse of Modern Metal, but with toes firmly embedded in the foundations of Classic Rock, Simon is pleased to bring a fresh, unyielding approach to the band and bring you a show which should not to be missed.

23/08/2006 R.I.P Garry "Flabbie" Dalloway.
It is with regret that we have to inform you that on sunday afternoon 20/08/2006 our legendary singer was found dead in his flat by friend and Handsome Beasts guitarist Alan Nyland. As yet the course of death is unknown as Garry had long suffered from diabetes and heart problems. Garry was a great singer, performer and friend. He will be sorely missed by everyone.

The Handsome Beasts join the line-up for The British Steel Festival.
The press release is as follows.

Due to Lee Payne, from Cloven Hoof, suffering a bad accident to his hand, Cloven Hoof have had to pull out of the British Steel Festival.

The vacant slot has been filled by 80’s rock legends The Handsome Beasts.

Lee, says that he is gutted to have to pull out, but after corrective surgery to mend his broken knuckles, damaged ligaments and tendons, it is estimated that he will have to have his hand in plaster for six months. Lee wishes all the bands the best of luck on the day, especially The Handsome Beasts.

The British Steel team are very disappointed to hear of Lee’s misfortune, and wish him well for a speedy recovery, but are delighted to welcome The Handsome Beasts on to the bill. Not only are the legendary rockers a fantastic replacement, their good looks will provide some much-needed glamour to the day!

The Handsome Beasts would like to wish Lee a speedy recovery and hope he's soon back playing.
